This is fairly common knowledge, considering his attire, but Maddie didn't make the connection until she overheard him talking about it with some of the other ghosts. Then she notices how much he looks like Danny. How much he sounds like him. How similar their mannerisms are, and their habits, and their sense of humor.
Unfortunately, she still manages to come to some slightly wrong conclusions.

aaaaahhhhh wish more fics were like this rather than 90% slash T-Tedit: just remembered the link up of the end and the beginning!!! Love how you did that, author. When I started, I did think it was a bit heavy and sad, but I suppose that was the point lol esp when everything makes sense later. I AM SO GLAD RIN DID NOT DIE. That was the only thing- cuz the beginning kept haunting me until the end and all. Awesome writing style btw, didn't feel like too much or too little :D

Shen Yuan knows that Shen Qingqiu is meant to be a villain, but he knows just as well that many of the things Shen Qingqiu was accused of in Proud Immortal Demon Way were just shitty misunderstandings, and over the years Shen Yuan has become reluctantly fond of his Shizun.
Abusing Luo Binghe was not a misunderstanding, though, and Shen Yuan will do whatever he can to correct the fact that he wasn't there to protect Luo Binghe when it happened.
