Erwin takes control, naturally, beginning an intimate dance that Levi wasn’t prepared for in the slightest. He heads for the bed, beckoning Levi over so casually it makes his stomach turn. But he follows orders regardless, seating himself beside him.
“No, not there.”
Levi’s eyes follow Erwin’s hand as it rises, then falls on the meat of his thigh.
“Here.”

Summary
He watches Levi, surrounded by patrons laughing and spilling powdered sugar into their laps, waiters buzzing between tables. The saxophonist utters a mournful bray. For all the countless times he’s gone head to head with Levi in the past with the intent of killing—vampire hunter against vampire supreme, fire against ice—He tries to imagine Levi dead, and finds that he cannot.
Levi’s quiet laugh shakes Erwin from his thoughts, and he returns to find Levi getting to his feet.
“It’s funny, Smith.” Erwin blanches at the return of the old salutation. “Looks like you may have found the stake through my heart after all.”
He’s gone before Erwin can respond, fleeing through the maze of tables, past the band, and around the corner into the rain.
Erwin sits, among tourists and busy waiters and trumpets and forgotten beignets, the venom simmering in his gut, the Bond echoing in his ribcage, and thinks.

Summary
Levi goes into heat at the worst time possible—outside the Walls. How desperate will he be when Erwin gets him home?

“Please, please… Please… A-Alpha,” he whispers the last part, seeking refuge in the strong and steady beat in Erwin’s left chest.Erwin’s lips fall to the rigid scar on his nape, kissing hot and open-mouthed with a pinch of his teeth, a gentle warning that if he doesn’t stop, he’ll be forced to put him in a scuff hold.
He gives up immediately, denying his body and instincts. Tears instantly fill his shut eyes.
“You’ll go with Hange, and stay with those I trust to keep you safe,” Erwin directs, his voice a low scrape from his chest. He scents his throat as he explains this. “I need you to endure this a little longer. Will you do that for me?”
He grinds his jaw until it aches. For Erwin, he finds it in himself to drunkenly nod.
