Ed and Jack exchange a panicked look before Ed makes a decision and dives for the segway guy. He’s blond, white, about Ed’s age - that’s all he has time to register before he’s kissing him.

Summary
Stede needs help; the Revenge unfortunately runs into a man Stede had an affair with prior to his pirate days. Stede decides the best way to give him a polite brush-off is to pretend he and Ed are together. Fake relationship to getting together, with smut, passive aggression and a few feelings thrown in for extra fun.
Set in the ephemeral co-captions time period.

Ed supposes he’s handsome, if you like boring white dudes. He’s tall, slim-built, short dark wavy hair and an at-best medium quality jaw line. Dressed like a prick, he’s wearing all the fancy sort of stuff Stede wears but he’s not pulling it off, in Ed’s opinion. Not enough bright colours, wearing all that silky lacey posh shit but in beige and browns like a coward. Yeah, he’s a coward; Ed’s decided. He guesses maybe his shoulders are okay, if you like skinny guys. Can kinda see why Stede fancied him. If there weren’t a lot of other options around. And if he squints.

Summary
We all know how the "This is Happening" episode began, right?
- Ed told Stede that he was thinking about leaving the Revenge.
- Stede was frantically trying to think of a way to stop him when Roach interrupted to report that they'd run out of oranges. This was bad, because they needed oranges on account of the Swede's teeth falling out from scurvy.
- Stede set off with Lucius to get more oranges. Instead, he returned with a treasure map that he'd bought from some woman.
This story is about that woman. Who is she? Just a random con artist? Or, maybe, someone we happen to know pretty well?

Summary
Ed's skin is stretched so taut across the bulge that it looks like it could rip open with a single touch. It throws his proportions off, the rest of his torso tiny in comparison, the snaking mass of tentacles struggle to find space around the protrusion. “Oh, Ed,” Stede says softly, just in time for Ed to swear and huff and tug the blanket up again, covering himself from view. “No wonder you’re in pain.”
Just helping out his friend, isn’t he? Ed said this would feel good, and making other people feel good is what friendship is all about. If Stede can make Ed a little more comfortable... well, it’d be rude not to offer.

Or: Ed's right in the midst of the 'bellyful of eggs' part of his hormone cycle. Stede is very willing to do whatever he can to help Ed feel better.
