He took a deep breath and sat up on his bed quietly. When did he start thinking about stuff like this? It’s not like it mattered. Thinking about it would only make him want to talk about it, and talking wasn’t an option. No one would be able to help him through this, even if they wanted to. Kusuo only shook his head and got up.

The man, the man that might be the perfect man for Miles, stops in front of a flower stand, and when he smiles at the florist it’s as bright as the early spring sun and Miles has never been in love before that he remembers at the time, but he’s pretty sure he feels something close to it for this normal stranger he’s met on a normal day.

When Apollo is volunteered by Phoenix to be the model for a police sketch workshop, he doesn’t exactly enjoy having his appearance picked apart by his coworkers. Not that he’s self conscious, it’s just that being on the other end of perception is a rather uncomfortable feeling.
And hearing Klavier Gavin describe him like… that certainly doesn’t help with the embarrassment.

Things have been… fine. Not good, but not terrible. Facing Apollo in court again had settled a weight that Klavier had been carrying in his chest since October. Losing the trial hadn’t even affected him, so great was the relief of at last facing the anxiety. They’d met in court once more since then, and it had brought a similar catharsis. But as much as Klavier wishes that one reprieve would ripple outwards, it really only solved the Apollo problem. (Well, one of the Apollo problems. The other continues to reside just under his ribs, fluttering every time the smaller man smiled at him.) Everything else is still, well, everything else. He still flees the room the moment Phoenix Wright steps into it. He still wakes in the dead of the night with the taste of poison lingering on his tongue. He still feels dread deep in his stomach at the thought of speaking with Miles Edgeworth.
Or, in the year following the Misham trial, Klavier has a series of conversations.

“Captain America? Get me out of here?” asked Peter, squinting his eyes and tilting his head. Iron Man hoisted him out of bed, and the covers went with him, hitting the floor by Peter’s feet. “Oh cool, I’m being kidnapped.”
“Not exactly the term I would use.”

The Avengers rescue Peter from a Hydra base ran by his father, Richard Parker, except Peter doesn't really see it as a rescue, and has trouble settling into a new life away from Hydra and his father at the Avengers compound.

Peter learns how to be an actual teenager, live life, and put his abusive past behind him, and Tony learns how to be a father.

Taking HYDRA down isn’t all that easy when you have a former HYDRA-teenager following you around like a duckling. Peter doesn’t particularly seem to care who he gets to follow around, as long as it is someone.
Most of the clothes they gave the boy are a few sizes too big. He keeps tripping over his pant legs. Which both endears Tony and every so often gives him a mini heart attack when Peter yelps and disappears behind a table again.
Somehow attempting to parent this incredibly resourceful, incredibly awkward, incredibly unpredictable, incredibly teenage teenager, is simply becoming part of daily life in the Avenger household.Series
