Tony seems to notice where he’s staring. “You wanna get out?” he asks, voice a tad softer than before. A sad look appears in his eyes that makes Peter bristle. “Yeah, I can get you out,” Tony says. “You have to get me out of this stuff first, though.” He tugs at his webbed up feet for emphasis.
Peter’s muscles tense at the movement. He scuttles back, letting out a hiss and baring his teeth to show his fangs.
Tony startles, but it quickly melts away into amusement. “Yes, you’re very scary,” he says with a grin. But a moment later it falls away, his face becoming more serious, sincere. “It’s alright, kid,” he says. “I’m not here to hurt you.”
Peter doesn’t believe that for a second.
- Peter has been used as Hydra's lab rat for many years, until Iron Man breaks into his cell.

Of course the one time Happy doesn’t take Tony someplace is the one time someone is after him for who the hell knows what. To make it worse, he had Peter with him.
When someone unknown to both Peter and Tony decides to kidnap Tony while Peter is with him, Tony will end up doing whatever he can to make sure Peter's suffering is minimal.

Summary
Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that’s what he believed—until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers.
Yet for some unclear reason, this group wanted to save him. Especially Tony Stark, the Merchant of Death, saw something in him that Peter himself could not see. For reasons unknown to Peter, Stark wanted to take care of him and show him that the world still had much to offer.
