Or he could feign ignorance and a strong steering of curiosity causing him to slip the one hundred gil at the entryway, gaining access to the exclusive venue and earning him his soul object of anonymity.

Summary
Lyney wakes up in an unfamiliar building with a large chunk of his memories missing. Armed with his belongings, his twin sister (who has a similar memory gap), and a note left for him, he embarks on a journey to figure out what happened to him—and how to shape the rest of his life without having access to his past.
Wriothesley receives the shock of his life when Lyney visits and tells him he lost his memories. He has to grapple with the loss of a blossoming relationship and watch as the person he loved sinks deeper and deeper into grief.
Or: an AU where Lyney takes Arlecchino's bottled flames, and fate directs him to Wriothesley to help him through the aftermath.
