Some nights when they shared the bed, Eoin placed his hand over Paddy’s sleeping form, over his belly and brushed his thumb over the soft skin of it.
There could be no denying it. This wasn’t a bug, or the food, or any other excuse Paddy had come up with. There was a life inside of Paddy, growing in him.
He’d done this for Eoin. He’d put himself through this for Eoin.
Paddy makes a deal with a goddess without caring about what she wants in return, just as long as he can get Eoin back. This may have been a miscalculated decision.

Paddy laughed and scratched an itch over his collar, “hah! Too fuckin’ right. He always had it out for myself. Bastard’s too up his own fuckin’ arse for his own good.”
