She said, with that voice full of superstition and fear, that it wasn’t wise to walk under the full moon, carrying blood in her womb. According to Míriel, the darkness could feel... perceive... and certain things would awaken when the scent of blood spread through the mist.
But Galadriel had never allowed herself to be swayed by her friend’s superstitions. After all, even before blooming at fourteen, she had walked alone across the vast estate, guided only by the pale light of the moon. She would silently admire the vastness of the night sky, where the stars seemed like distant and indifferent gods. Galadriel reveled in the cold touch of dew on her skin, the icy kiss of the full moon on her face, while her voice was lost in the darkness, offering songs to the ghosts.
