“It’s gonna be an annual thing now, huh?” Blitzø grinned at the former prince as they buttoned up their matching shirts.
Loona had found the long-sleeved shirts at a thrift store when she’d gone shopping with Octavia a couple of days ago. She’d gotten a nice navy one for Blitzø and a bright red one for Stolas. Each shirt had demonic reindeer flying over clouds, pulling Krampus’ sleigh behind them. The girls thought the shirts would be a funny prank, but their dads (saps) loved the idea and gamely promised to wear them to the party.
Stolas had been used to boring parties all his life. His ex-wife loved throwing parties, and he hated every second of it. Last Sinsmas, he wasn’t in a good headspace, so he couldn’t fully appreciate the party they’d had at the apartment. But this year would be different. He had his whole family with him this Sinsmas.
“It’s not a bad tradition to have,” Stolas answered with a tender smile.

Fortunately, however, she’s got a plan. After all, what’s the use of building a reputation for making everyone solve weird (and typically time-sensitive) riddles in her wording if she can’t use it to her advantage sometimes?
