He would not leave the Emerald because of mild discomforts. So he sat, meditation that edged on dozing, a small distance away from 'The Wachowski Family Home'. Sonic- Fast, blue, steadfast and so strange- had dubbed it that with the pride one would present their own nest. It had been, for the Hedgehog, he supposed. All he saw were four unstable walls.

In an act that he didn't even seem fully aware he was doing, Knuckles’s hand- ungloved as well, which wasn't a pleasure she got to feel often- slipped under the hem of the simple undershirt she was wearing. His worn and rough claw smoothed out over her midriff, and for a moment, she wondered why they were even still talking when he was this close to pulling her shirt off.

Feeling no physical protest, she pulled him in close, letting his face rest within the crook of her neck. Again, he made no move to pull away, and some of the butterflies she’d failed to squash long ago were back to dancing in her stomach. He groaned, letting his eyes fall closed.
“Is that supposed to be an insult, Theif?”

She glanced at him with not quite a smile, but the air of amusement, and took the drink. "Us? Never."
Punch Up had seen her without her mask- or wings, for that matter- plenty of times, most often when he'd be the one taking them off of her. Yet now, in the dimmed light of the decrepit bar, he'd been struck by the same feelings as he had when he'd first met her- the inescapable awe of something so otherworldly, it dwarfs you. Piercing yellow, black smoke, dark edges that drew him in, paranormal, uncanny beauty.
Punch up muses about Coupé, now that shes back to the team, and realises he misses her far more then he'd thought.
