so where do i begin ?? im also writting this while listening to Caribbean blue.
I am not ususaly the one who reads x oc, i normally avoid it, but when i saw snippets online, i was deffinately entraced. I almost didnt read it because of the nicknames (its so cute) bc i thought it was going to be some (god forsake) horn dog fic, instead, i found myself enamored.
Kiyawen is such a soft charecter, not in an overly or hyperfem, or super roughed, just nice. She sort of reminds me of tohru honda from fruits basket or the MC in ao haru ride. Her love and pride of being an outrider in the thalim clan, such a stark difference from the sully family which is the angst bank. I also have a bad habit of skimming thru side charecters (especially when its alot) but this fic has made me l-o-l out loud,

Yu'nar "You remember yesterday"Now to the sullies, LOVE LOVE LOVE. No shade to authors but like, loak is always either a ball of rage, or in love with the reader which ugh, it rusts a story sm.

I think i had this on my history from 2022/2021 when i was going thru the deepdive of all the fics i read but never saved (curse me) but its like redescorvering gold that has been embered in an iceberg (quite litrally) I'm like about 6 chapters in and absolutely adore the premise, i want to give my indepth comment and review later on, but this was such a fun ride !! The brotherhood/sibling bond has to be my favorite thing

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

I remember reading this in 2023 when i got covid for the second time that year and couldnt go to school for two weeks. While i try not to judge a fic based on its wordcount, i tend to stray from fics that are more that 200k words. But i ultimately fell in love with the slow, sloww, slowww burn that is this fic (lit a forhead touch after 200k words). Defff need to re read this to get me thru the semester
