When Bilbo is surprised by a dwarf at the door, he remembers some advice Gandalf gave him. He takes the advice, though he really doesn't want to, and ends up seeing things he never would have believed with people he never would have thought to befriend. The further he goes from home, the less he recognizes his surroundings... or himself.

Summary
