Summary
The boy had been given to Geralt in the hopes that he would be enough to pay off his parents’ debts. Geralt had not been thrilled, but they promised him that in a few years, the kid would be worth triple what they owed Geralt.
He can afford to take a chance and he assures the couple that when the time comes, if the boy doesn’t fetch him what they promise, he will come calling and they won’t like the results.
Until then, though, what the hell is he supposed to do with a kid?
Or... Geralt ends up raising Jaskier as his son but then begins to lust after him. Good thing he's never cared about morals.

Only a week ago, Geralt and Jaskier walked into a tiny town on the outskirts of the mountains. They had time for one look around: the shacks for homes, the loose, decayed dirt at their feet, and trees with wide cracks in their trunks.
Then the villagers descended upon them.
Or: Geralt and Jaskier are offered a hefty chunk of coin to lead a down-on-their-luck village through a mountain range. However, when the journey takes much longer than expected, temperatures plummet, and food runs scarce, Geralt must choose between Jaskier and the villagers he has sworn to protect. For Jaskier, this is a hard choice.
For Geralt, it's not.
