The omegaverse can be hell on earth if you're asexual, and even worse if you're stuck as an omega. Alphas expect things of Kaveh, things he's unwilling to give, things they don't expect of his beta roommate and maybe-friend, Alhaitham.
Or: Kaveh struggles with being asexual in the omegaverse. Alhaitham, also asexual, struggles with figuring out what Kaveh wants.

Kaveh has tried many times to fall in love. And just as many times, he's failed. Now, an upcoming festival may force him to admit to himself that he doesn't feel it - not the romantic kind, at least. And then there are his growing feelings for Alhaitham, which certainly aren't romantic, but aren't entirely platonic, either.
And Alhaitham? He just wants to be close to Kaveh, but that seems impossible when Kaveh keeps misinterpreting his gestures.

Kaveh sighs, fidgeting with his rings. “I’m asexual. I don’t want to have sex with him or anyone. Ever. And I don’t know how to tell him that.”
After two weeks of dating, Kaveh still hasn't told Alhaitham that he's asexual. Eventually, however, such secrets are bound to get out.

Alhaitham sighs, irritation prickling at his skin. “Our relationship exists outside the standard societal model of a ‘friendship’. Thus, the labels we have settled on are quite accurate. Kaveh is my companion and partner, and I am his. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to check into our hotel.”
A trip to Fontaine results in Faranak misunderstanding quite a bit about queerplatonic relationships, and leaves Alhaitham wondering if Kaveh is truly happy in theirs.
