“V.I.P.?” Lauren asks with a frown, “How much is your special, Rose?”
Rosalie applies more hair spray to her curls, deciding whether to entertain Alice’s shenanigans. But before she can reply—
“$2,500….” Alice answers for her smugly, “—an hour.”
“Jesus Christ—” Lauren curses in disbelief—brows high on her forehead, mascara pencil already forgotten, “She pays that much—and she’s never been bitten?”
”She’s never been bitten.” Their audience of vampires say in unison—
Rosalie clenches her jaw until it cracks.

Death gets fired.
Death closed her eyes, in pain. This gift would be a curse wouldn’t it? “Yes. Everything. You could live without me for the rest of your days and even in death.”
“Well!” Agatha clapped her hands together happily. “As I said before, I accept.” She walked up closer to Death. Their lips almost brushed when she whispered cruelly, “you will never see me. You will never know me. Not in life or in Death. You will die as a mortal, never to see me or touch me. You will never learn of my existence.”
This is a love story about two people who have no idea they already chose each other. It’s told entirely from the inside of a life neither of them remembers earning, in a universe that was made specifically for them to get it right this time.
