    Shen Qingqiu had always known that his past who always come to haunt him.

    With the amount of blood that was spilled onto his hands, he would eventually receive the punishment that was meant for a scum like him.

    He expected his sufferings to be paraded for the whole world to judge, and laugh. He expected his trauma to be left under the radar, since nobody would sympathize with a man like him.

    But what Shen Qingqiu got was something different from what he had expected..

    Heck, he didn't even have to expose his background and his suffering to gain empathy from his martial siblings which he did not appreciate at all.

    Shen Yuan transmigrates during the previous generation of Cang Qiong, and despite being totally mediocre (or so he thinks) he ends up becoming the Head Disciple of Qing Jing Peak. Shen Yuan decides to try and live his life to the best of his ability, avoid the scum villain when he makes his inevitable appearance, and grow stronger so he can stay alive long enough to be able to see his favourite protagonist in the flesh - and then escape so he's not killed when Luo Binghe takes over the world.

    But, of course, the plot has got to plot, and nothing ever goes according to plan.

    Tianlang-Jun took the opportunity to pour the tea for them, passing a cup to Shen Jiu. The gray streaks near his temples were silvery in the soft light, shining against the black of his long curling hair.
    “A-Jiu must have a clever hand to play guqin so well,” Tianlang-Jun mused as he took a sip of his tea. “I wonder what other skills he could do with his fingers.”
    Shen Jiu rolled his eyes, taking one of the osmanthus cakes from the plate and pointedly sinking his teeth into it.

    Tianlang-Jun meets Shen Jiu at the Warm Red Pavilion and decides this is the boy he is going to marry. Shen Jiu has not gotten the memo.

    “Do you have… Fangs in this form?” Shen Qingqiu asks softly, his voice quiet to match the rest of the room. The only sound is the brush of scales against skin and fabric whenever Zhuzhi-lang’s tail shifts.

    The man nods and obligingly opens his mouth, revealing not only a set of fangs but also a long tongue, forked at the end, that seems to flutter in his mouth. Even if Shen Qingqiu had been conscious of the implications of any of his actions, he still wouldn’t have been able to hold back. He takes one hand swiftly to Zhuzhi-lang’s jaw to hold it open as he leans in closely to look. His thumb brushes over his fangs first, testing their sharpness.

    Zhuzhi-lang makes a soft noise, and Shen Qingqiu looks up to see a cute green colour spreading across his cheeks… Blushing? His tongue is moving down Shen Qingqiu’s thumb to tickle his palm, Zhuzhi-lang’s lips closing around it like he’s…

    Shameless! Shen Qingqiu admonishes himself because he shouldn’t think like that. The man is probably just… Being snake-like? Yeah, sure...

     

    OR, Shen Qingqiu nerds out about Zhuzhi-lang's snake form, leading to body worship and Zhuzhi-lang paying back drops of kindness with torrents... Sexually.

    "You can't just tell me that you need to-" Shen Qingqiu's voice choked off in his throat, his thin face roaring back to the forefront, and he managed a furious whisper, "-have relations with me and then just carry me away, what is wrong with you?"

    Zhuzhi-lang flicked his pitch-dark tongue, then said,

    "Nothing is wrong with this one other than his mating season."

    Zhuzhi-lang happens upon an unwitting Shen Qingqiu during the timeskip, exactly as Zhuzhi-lang enters mating season. How convenient! (For Zhuzhi-lang, and not at all for Shen Qingqiu's ass.)
