Summary
Waterboy spends every day after work dreading the next. Being a hero is great, but the constant pressure he puts on himself begins to exacerbate his anxiety. Especially with Flambae berating and belittling him every chance he gets. Getting cursed seems to be just another tally on his exhaustingly long list of rotten luck. So how come things actually begin to improve for once? After all, if you've hit bottom, the only place you can go is up, right?
Flambae doesn't need anyone or anything. He has his family, after all, and a job he likes enough not to want to fall back into committing arson. Sure, he might butt heads occasionally, but it has never impacted his performance before, even when Robert continually threatens him to be nicer to Waterbitch. When he winds up taking home a stray cat after work, he can't even begin to fathom how this might just turn his world upside down.
Or: Waterboy gets cursed to turn into a cat at nightfall. It ironically ends up bringing him and Flambae closer.

After an uneventful spread of a sudden flu, multiple sinners and even a few overlords have gotten sick. Especially the earth born ones.
One night has turned to two and then to three. Alastor was nowhere to be seen besides his light snores during the night. Charlie, as the sweetheart that she is, began to worry for poor Alastor, jumping to conclusions that the overlord could've gotten the horrid illness.
As an attempt to calm Charlie (and make sure that the ill willed man was dead), Lucifer had agreed to check up on Alastor.
OR
Alastor gets sick and heavily misses his mom, causing him to be an emotional mess. Luckily, Lucifer is there to take care of him.

While to the casual observer it seemed like I was making no progress, over time I formed a bond with the child.... I had grown quite fond of the boy. Perhaps it had something to do with those blue eyes of his - those sad, lonely eyes. The eyes of an orphan.

The test for this comes unexpectedly one day, when they’re both kidnapped, locked in a small cell, and Stone is injected with a serum that forces him to transform.

It was the way the doctor ordered him around, callous and harsh and unrelenting. It wasn’t hard to think of a whole series of other orders the doctor could be giving him, orders that involved bruised knees and hot skin and rush after rush of endorphins.

Ivo Robotnik is 78% his soulmate hates him and is actively trying to ruin his life by repeatedly making him prioritize everything except his life's work. They make him skip meetings, sleep instead of work, take more time to make proper meals instead of work, and vent his emotions instead of bottling them up for efficiency. How ridiculous.

We only ever see Stone exit from the backseat of cars during the Sonic movie, therefore he must have someone driving him around.
Agent Stone, his life, and his dealings with Robotnik - from the POV of his driver.
“Can you feel it, Stone?” I hear Robotnik yell, and Stone grins.
“I can feel it, doctor.” He calls back. It’s the same expression I saw on his face the first time he was asked to make Robotnik coffee. Excitement and wonder all in one. I lean forward, eyebrows raised and head resting on the steering wheel as I watch Robotnik stride into the truck, Stone following a moment later. I was right, Stone’s got it bad for the doc.
