    Kagami was good. Aomine can admit that much. He knew that before meeting him though, anyone who catches the interest of Tetsu had to be, they were all shitty copies of him after all. The wannabes. The lesser versions. How he loved putting all of them in their place. It’s truly a wonder Tetsu hasn’t given up hope yet. He still believes that there’s someone out there who can rival Aomine. It makes him sick. Tetsu’s efforts are worthless. He should already know the only one who can beat him is him.

    The contract was a simple proof of concept, more a show of respect, with how each of the staff’s eyes he met shone with a gaze of humility. Like the mere thought of him positioning the ballpoint pen over the file was a blessing in and of itself. Taiga read more with his eyes than with his brain, but it was clear. A no-nonsense scene to wring him dry. A marathon built with no other winner.

    He signed it, anyway, he thinks. It’s just a movie.
