Dark clouds hide Sky, the storm a reflection of its creator's conflict. “Why?” The wind whispers. “Why would you continue despite my pleas? Why can I not stop you?” Thunder boomed, screaming for Sky, “why can I not hate you?”

Summary:
Zeus gets in trouble, Percy unknowingly helps him. With Percy not knowing who the bird is, and Zeus a bit too uncomfortable to reveal it, the God finally figures out how genuine his nephew is. And maybe becomes a tad protective over him along the way.

Well, that's an oxymoron.“I’ll protect you with the best of me,” [...] Zeus stared wide-eyed. In his millennia of existence, nobody had ever said that to him.
Ouch.[...] wondering what he could give to a boy who had already promised him the best of himself when Zeus only had the worst of his own parts.
Ouch x2, so quick to hate himself when he has a moment to think.“Husband,” she said, unimpressed. “Is there any you will not try to bed to break our marriage vows? You don’t even like this one.”

The expletive is funny in context.
Zeus felt the same anger he felt watching the scene that he always did when his children prayed to him against someone: the burning urge to obliterate their enemies from existence. [...] The world clearly didn’t appreciate his self-control enough.
