“I’m Bobby, by the way.” The man looked at him expectantly, waiting for Evan to answer. Bobby then raised an eyebrow, further trying to prompt an answer out of him. But instead of giving him his name Evan simply muttered “Doesn’t matter.”
“Of course it matters.” Bobby told him, smiling kindly before the pair started walking.
Evan shoved his hands in his pockets, “No, it really doesn’t.”
“Well, is there a nickname I could use instead?”
“Why do you care?” He huffed.
“I need to call you something.”
Evan frowned, no one had ever cared enough for that, but then again the only people he knew were his family and they didn’t care about him, at least not about him as a person. ‘Evan’ was the name of the thing they’d created to keep Daniel alive, and now ‘Evan’ wasn’t needed, he’d been discarded, so he might as well get rid of the name too.
He hesitated for a second before saying “Buck, you can call me Buck.”

Evan 'Buck' Buckley grew up around a horrible family, Margaret and Phillip were not the best parents to Evan, even Maddie ignored him for the most of it, he was lied to his whole life, are they surprised Evan turned out like this?
Buck had sued the station for not letting him come back after being cleared, he could have taken the $8 million dollars, he just wanted his job back, his family at the 118 but no. He didnt get one back thats the cost of telling your lawyer things.
After being ignored for months, Buck decided to distance more after they tried to reach out to him, how long could Bobby keep this act up? Of pretending Buck wasnt there.
Chimney and Hen couldnt take it within the first week.
Eddie accepted it and lashed out on Christopher, Bucks name isnt mentioned in the Diaz household anymore.
Maddie no longer rang Buck.
This will be a very long book since i am trying to average 1k words per chapter some might be 2k or even more but bare with the slow-burn in Buck and the 118s relationship.

Summary
Will's eyes follow as one boy – Chance – runs his hand through his hair, letting the hem of his jersey ride up a bit.
And look, Will isn’t an idiot. He knows the way he looks at boys isn’t normal. And he knows he has never looked at girls this way. Never followed the movement of their bodies or tracked a bead of sweat as it dripped down their neck. Maybe a part of the reason Will started to actually watch basketball is because he liked to watch the players, not the game. But nobody else needed to know that.

As Chance exhales this time, he brings his mouth down to fully cover Will’s. It’s barely even a kiss, just their lips pressed against each other. As Will inhales, he catches Chance’s lips in his own. His hand slides up Chance’s chest, fisting in the center of his shirt. Chance tangles his fingers deeper in Will’s hair as his other hand comes to rest on Will’s waist. He responds to the kiss immediately, pulling Will even closer, kissing him deeply, aggressively, as if he’s the one who has been waiting all night. Starving.

Will is in Hawkins instead of California and goes to Lucas' basketball game. After, he's goes to the party with Lucas and meets Chance.

Summary
Will steps into the woods. Birds chirp around him, and squirrels run up the trees. It's been six months since Vecna was finally defeated, and now everyone is finally beginning to settle. Everyone except for Will. He can't seem to get out of fight or flight mode, and everything's been wrong. His body feels off, heavy and achy, while his concentration is shot. No one noticed when he stopped showing up to things, stopped answering his radio. El will chatter every night about what her and Mike were up to that day.
And it seems to take all of Dustin's energy to keep moving, and to show up himself. Lucas is with Max, and no one noticed when Will started to fade into the background. He knew if he stopped trying, this is what would happen. He knew as soon as he had to beg for their attention. It's ok though, he's always known his place. And now it's fine for him to step back, and let them all breathe without him. Every morning he takes another walk like this one, trying to chase away the ache in his joints that make it hard to move. Part of him knows that he should say something, that this isn't normal pain.
That something is seriously wrong, but he can't bring himself to.
