It was the paths made of paint between them that drew them together, apart, and together once again.
Zuko graffitis to forget his father. Katara paints to remember her mother.Modern College AU in BSSU where Zuko and Katara are in the same art class. When they're paired together for their final project in the class -- despite Zuko's (mostly self) hatred -- the two grow even closer than they had been before Zuko's scar. By day, at least. By night, Zuko takes to spraypaint and graffiti shielded by the Blue Spirit mask. Excommunicated and literally burned by his family, he sees no point in adhering to the rules. Coincidentally (not), all of his graffiti appears near the exact surfaces of the city that Katara paints her murals in, a pattern and a person she cannot place until her relations with Zuko grow.
