Summary
After his goddaughter is killed in a terrorist attack that leaves Eskel scarred and battered in more ways than one, the former soldier isn't coping well, and he never leaves his house even as it falls into squalor around him.
As a last resort, his caseworker sends him a recreational therapist, and despite Eskel's distaste for therapy or help in general, Jaskier is certainly not taking 'no' for an answer.

The steps started up again, unhurried and careful, and then someone was chuckling.
“They sent a Witcher?” A light voice asked, almost musical in tone. “They must really be worried.”
“Yeah, you went after an Omega!” Lambert snapped at the bandit.
“Hey, I only went through her bag,” the voice corrected, coming closer. “…Now what should I do with you?”Or: Lambert gets a little careless on a job, and ends up held captive by the bandit (Jaskier) he was hired to catch.

Summary
Lambert goes into an unexpected heat while out with his packmates on the path. They are forced to drag the heating Lambert into the only place in Oxenfurt that accepts witchers. There they are taken in by Jaskier, who runs the place, and treated to the most respectful and easy heat stay of their lives. It results in a deal struck with the unfulfilled Jaskier wanting to tag along with them as he chances more excitement in his life, in exchange he will be the token alpha for their pack, nothing more than a stand in to help the omegas regulate their hormones. At least, that's how it starts.
