“Why would he have?” Natasha raised a brow at Steve.
Steve didn’t know how to answer that.

Tony swallowed the lump in his throat, reaching out to hold her. She pushed herself from his grasp and took a step back, shaking her head. In the fog of the quickly developing hangover, he pieces of what the detective were saying. Masked gunmen. Forcing their way in. The babysitter, one they used often, shot whole protecting their son, and Peter, his precious boy, gone. Without a trace.

Basically, he's weird.
If you see a spider, you are in the wrong spot. Spiders know your whole routine, which is why you hardly see them. So, Peter Parker learning the routines of everyone on the team and hiding away is not that crazy of a concept.

“You’re probably confused,” the man said without turning around. His voice carried across the hall, warm and familiar. “That’s okay. I was confused too when I first arrived here. Though I showed up with considerably more equipment and a lot more warning.”

That is until Tony stops being a man-child and steps up as the adult figure he is to Peter.
