Viper's entire life consisted of fortified walls and a mask she wore like a second skin. Killjoy had slowly begun to chip away at the barriers that were placed, but the lack of reciprocation pushed her to believe she was only taking up space. It isn't until Killjoy becomes seriously injured that Viper realizes she had been refusing to admit her attraction, and taking their interactions for granted.

She'd like to see them, pretty please. Touch them, even. Feel them ripple underneath her. But first she needs to take all her clothes off—something made more difficult by the fact that for some reason, Rumi is wearing three fucking belts.
Zoey slides her hands between their bodies, scrambling to undo the first one.
"We need to have a word with your stylist about these decisions they're making," Zoey huffs as the metal buckle opens up. She tugs on the leather until it slips loose and then tosses it to the side.
"I thought you liked the outfit?" Rumi manages a laugh despite the clear tension in her voice, swallowing as Zoey presses her hands against the plane of her stomach.
Zoey gives her a look. "Well they clearly weren't thinking of me when they put you in it!"
OR: Zoey & Rumi are on separate tours, finally perform in the same city after two weeks, stumble into their hotel room and fuck about it

Rumi exhales slowly, eyes drifting shut for a second before closing her notebook quietly. It’s shoved into her bag along with her pen, not even bothering to store it in her pencil case like she always does without fail.
That’s the thing about… this whole thing. It disrupts her order. Her control. It makes her do things she wouldn’t usually do for herself or others. Makes her feel good about wanting and taking however much she wants.
And Rumi would be lying if she said she didn’t like the secrecy of it all.
