Summary
Lan Wangji was holding something strange in his hands. Wei Wuxian was trying to figure out what it was, but no matter how he looked at it, he simply didn’t know. It looked a little delicate, the metal chain was rather thin, but it looked sturdy. It spanned no more than thirty centimetres across. On each end was a small clamp.
“Lan Zhan,” Wei Wuxian said inquisitively. “What’s that you brought home? Is it a special device of some kind? What does it do?”
Lan Wangji looked at him and in true Lan Wangji fashion only hummed softly. Wei Wuxian, who really wanted to know, leaned forward and reached his hand out to take the thing from Lan Wangji. If he wouldn’t be told, he’d figure it out for himself. But before he could grab it, Lan Wangji had already moved it out of his reach.
Wei Wuxian, defeated, sunk back down, grumbling softly. “Lan Zhan is no fun.”
