Summary
When Eddie left for Texas, Buck told himself he’d be fine. He had the house, the memories, and the silence, too much of it.
Then a stranger shows up at his door with news that knocks the air out of him: he’s the father of an eight-year-old girl named Alina Marie Monroe.
Oh — and her mother’s dead. When Eddie finally comes home, the two of them fall into a rhythm that feels almost like a family. Almost.
But love gets complicated when it’s the one thing neither of them has ever had the courage to name. Between bedtime stories, quiet mornings, and the ghosts of what-ifs, Buck and Eddie begin to realize that sometimes family isn’t something you find, it’s something you build, one heartbeat at a time.
Or:
Buck becomes a dad. Eddie comes home. And somewhere between friendship and forever, they find the sunlight again. ☀️Ft A short Christopher & Alina Side Story!

Summary
He looks back at Eddie and Eddie blinks at him like he knows. “What the hell? Fine,” Buck says, throwing a hand into the air and letting it fall to slap against his thigh. “Family trip to Hershey.”
Chris cheers and Eddie grins, like he’s won and hasn’t just signed up to carry boxes around and watch two people he barely knows and probably won’t be particularly welcoming, argue over furniture. He leans in to pepper kisses on Buck’s face, ending with an audible mwah to Buck’s birthmark.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, Eddie. This isn’t going to be fun.”
or, old wounds are reopened as buck, eddie and christopher travel to hershey to help pack up buck's childhood home.
