    Summary

I've turned this work into a series because I've realised it made more sense than keeping to one huge work.

The first installation focuses on the summer of Year 4 and the murder mystery. The part featuring the actual school year will come after and there will be a few one shots in the middle.

    the unveiling
    By vazaha_tya

Through dreams of his ancestors' deaths, Harry finds out not only that the Potter family is connected to death, but that his father can't have died by Voldemort's hand.
This kicks off a cascade of events that lead to being emancipated, graverobbing to get an undead James Potter out, solving the mystery of the McKinnon deaths, and finding out Lily engineered more of the fate that befell Harry than anyone would have liked.

Next up: getting his distant cousins to help in a cleansing ritual, getting Theo Nott up help in waking an undead James, getting the ministry and the public to pull their heads out of the sand, and getting Dumbledore to stop being so damn cryptic and manipulative. Some of those are more likely than others.

Too old to be this young

Harry accidentally ends up in a different dimension where Riddle is a cutthroat politician ruling magical Britain. Harry takes this as permission to be an absolute menace and at the same time as invisible as he can manage - until he catches the Riddle's attention. And obsession.
Includes but is not limited to: Harry caring too little. Harry caring too much. Riddle's 10-year-plan of wooing a man allergic to relationships (and strawberries, how dare). A chicken that is not a chicken. A neighbour who may or may not be an alien. A neighbour who is definitely a demon. And giant eldritch monsters, mayhem, and manipulation.

    Summary

The plan was simple. Give Sally the baby. Let her raise him to the best of her ability. Remain in the background and provide support as needed.

    Well yeah.

Sally dying of a natural cause? Not part of the plan.

Unwilling to give up Percy to the chaos that the mortal world's foster system would be, Poseidon makes a spontanous decision to raise him all on his own. As a mortal. On land.

No interference rules? Well, he was never good at keeping to his brothers nonsense.

Still, he has to do it in secret. No one shall find out.

Well, he might have sharp teeth, but in this case, he bite more than he could chow.

Other people get involved. Things change.

Camp Half-Blood is not prepared for the result.

What the sea claims, it will protect
    By BlindPassenger

Sally dies from medical issues and Poseidon, unwilling to have Percy end up in the system, decides to raise his son himself. He quickly finds out that raising a mortal child comes with some... difficulties. Especially when you're unable to keep your immortal family out of this. And your son quickly realises he's a water bender. And he never learned to respect any authority whatsoever.
Pair that with Chiron's questionable decisions regarding camp and demigods, Zeus' inability to see past his paranoia, and a good dose of common sense from Percy - and what could possibly go wrong?

    Summary

“You were looking for an excuse to speak to him anyways, and I gave it to you,” Aphrodite rolls her eyes, disregarding most of his words, and handing Apollo her wine glass in order to pull a mirror out of her bag, checking her lipstick. He resists the urge to spill it over her dress. “And, he asked me for help, even left me offerings. Why wouldn’t I take a chance to make two negatives a positive?”

    “He left you dinner leftovers.”

Aphrodite waves it off. “Same thing, really. My children keep leaving me make-up and chocolate. Other people leave flowers. They’re sweet, but at least Percy Jackson offers something less habitual. I hate boredom.”

“You love chaos, and plotting, like with Reyna,” Apollo translates, and starts drinking her wine because, what in Hades, might as well. He needs a drink. “So I was a negative that needed fixing?”

“You are, yes,” she nods, no remorse to it, and Apollo wonders why he decided to go through with this.

    --------------
Percy gets himself into a tough situation, Apollo helps. Love ensues, and it's only slightly Aphrodite's fault.

As if you were a mythical thing
    By stardustupinlights

Yeah, I've read this fic three times in as many weeks. I think it's time to bookmark it instead of looking through my history.

Percy tells his friends he's in a relationship to get them off his back. The problem being - he's not actually in a relationship. Asking Aphrodite for help may have been a ... questionable... decision, but hey, Apollo said he'd be his fake boyfriend, so it's all good!
If only those pesky feelings didn't interfere. A god and a mortal? With that mortal being Percy Jackson, traumatised by quests and gods...? And the god being Apollo, traumatised by all his tragic relationships...? There's no way this could crash and burn.

    Summary

Apollo was having a perfectly good morning- right up until he vomited down the side of the sun chariot. Which was incredibly strange, if you asked him, because gods simply do not get sick.
As if that weren’t strange enough, an unintended meet-up with Percy Jackson in a Target parking lot revealed that the demigod was hearing prayers- something that Apollo was actually not responsible for, despite what Percy seemed to think.
Apollo didn’t need his prophetic powers to know this was going to be a looong day. But hey- at least he got to spend it with Percy. (Which, naturally, improved things considerably).

    The Unintended
    By Monkey_Madness123

Apollo, somehow poisoned without his knowledge, lands his sun chariot right in front of Percy Jackson. Who was supposed to be on vacation. Instead of staying with his family, he now has to deal with a sick sun god, becoming a god (and how the hell did that even happen??), being dragged across the country by demigod prayers, and finding yet another daughter of Zeus, who was deceived by a monster cult that wants to poison the gods. Coincidence? Probably not.
Apollo, meanwhile, struggles with much the same issues since he's along for the ride, plus his growing infatuation with Percy. And Zeus wanting to put Percy on trial for becoming a god without his say-so. Oh joy.
