Summary
Chell was free, left stranded and adrift in a sea of golden waving grass. She lost a friend named Wheatley and expected him to float in space forever. Virgil was trapped, subject to the rule of the Central Core. He lost a friend named Mel and hoped she was still alive, somewhere out there.
Chell is tenacious, having learned never to trust a core, even if they seem friendly at first. Virgil is snarky and sarcastic, but has seen first hand what a human can do. And when Chell falls back into the depths of Aperture, they make a deal to set things right, for better or for worse.
