Summary
Long ago, the island of Skyloft and all those around were raised to the sky by the goddess Hylia, who legend says still protects and guards her chosen people. Two students at the Knight Academy take part in a traditional graduation ceremony, utterly unaware that the events of centuries ago echo and reflect upon this very day, only for disaster to strike. The long-preordained destiny of the two is set in motion, for the battle the goddess fought and could not win so long ago must now be fought again, only this time with her powers renewed and her chosen sword reforged to an unstoppably keen edge. But the sword of her foe has not been idle during his master's long imprisonment, and the trials they face may test them to the very limit...

Summary

But the unseen price the goddess paid for turning aside from her duty, for contradicting her very nature, was terrible indeed.
Centuries have passed, and the people live under the hand of their goddess, within the bounds of the walls she raised, worshipful and grateful – for who but a fool would be anything but? But evil cloaks the land, and all is not well in a kingdom rotten at its very core.

And further back still, a god who devours and a spirit of swordcraft, who will fall together and become greater and more terrible than ever they should have.It is their tangled futures that will shape the aeons to come...

Ganondorf can feel the curse creeping up on him, but he’s no closer to finding a way out than when he first learned of it. This hatred that fights to consume him will come for all his people next if he doesn’t stop it.
Link’s brother is missing. Bodyguard to the princess, Rift disappeared with her after the appearance of the Dark Beast in Gerudo Desert. Now a Voice is calling Link to defeat that Beast to save Hyrule and reunite his family.
