Luigi é uma criança tímida que aceitou brincar com Mario e seus amigos em um jogo que seu irmão inventou, “briga de canos”.
Tudo estava indo bem, Luigi se divertia e conseguia interagir mesmo que minimamente com os outros cogumelos, até que ao entrar em um dos canos, especificamente o que Mário havia guardado o prêmio, ele acabou indo parar em um lugar desconhecido.
sozinho e apenas tendo um koopa como amigo, Luigi tenta achar o caminho de casa e desenvolve uma amizade bonita com o príncipe koopa bowser.

Bowser estava cansado de lutar contra Mario por amor a Peach. Ele era um rei solitário que só queria alguém, nem que fosse para conversar. Seus súditos e conselheiros eram sua única família, mas não saciavam o desejo por alguma conversa com alguém que não o temesse ou dissesse apenas o que ele queria ouvir.
Ele queria abrir seu coração, dizer que adorava as flores e florestas e as cores que pareciam irradiar alegria. Falar sobre seus medos e traumas de governar e ouvir palavras de apoio que talvez pudessem tê-lo ajudado no passado. Infelizmente o rei nunca encontrou tal companhia.
