Summary
After Chishiya's (mis)calculated betrayal at the beach, the surviving five are forced to run from the King of Spades' machine gun fire. A confusing dream plagues Arisu. Chishiya learns about what it means to care. Meticulous strategy has the group split down the middle, and Arisu is left making sense of not only the Borderlands’ puzzles, but also Chishiya's sly smiles and strange looks. A few snide remarks and a couple close calls later, the pair set off to face the games ahead. This time, however, with the creators' special attention.

Summary
Qiao Ling hosts a New Year's celebration at the photo studio, and Lu Guang's tolerance for socializing wears out as the night progresses. Cheng Xiaoshi makes a compromise with him. If he lets him connect their links together, then they can find a way to plan a graceful exit.
It quickly turns flirtatious and sensual in a few unexpected ways. And as the night grows darker, Lu Guang will end up being grateful for that extra support. It seems luck is on his side for now.

All Harumasa could do was stare, his eyes wide with surprise. Wise took note how the other’s breath hitched, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly.
He held his gaze, pushing aside the uncomfortable feeling of being so open. Wise had never shown anyone his ocular implants outside of the academy, but this felt important to do. “If anyone calls you a monster for something you can’t control, then what does that make me?”
The blue in Wise’s eyes faded, the familiar sea-green returning. “Harumasa, you didn’t ask to be sick. It's unfair; you shouldn't be judged because of it. No matter what anyone else might say, it doesn’t change who you are inside.” He placed his hand over Harumasa’s chest, feeling the steady beat beneath his palm. Human.
A story on Wise, and a boy with yellow eyes he met one summer eleven years ago.

"I... I wouldn't have guessed this is where you wanted to hold the funeral," Wise admits, surprised. His voice may have come out a touch melancholic, but Harumasa's eyes soften in response.
"Fitting, isn't it?" Harumasa muses, turning back to the vast, black abyss that stretched beyond the horizon as Wise joins him. "I don't know, it just felt right to hold the funeral here. It's true that I spent most of my childhood in a hospital rather than out of it, but in a way, this place still feels like home. Most of my memories with Master – both the good and the bad – has always been here. In Eridu City, before the Fall of the Capital."
A month after Harumasa's Master's passing, Wise learns two things: the funeral will take place at the Chasm Memorial and how to trust on others.

Summary

Jax's words rang in her head every day. "I don't wanna go." His final plea, his last desperate grasp at life. It didn't matter what he'd done, he deserved to live just as much as they did. She wasn't going to let it be ignored.
Now that her plans have worked out better than anyone could have expected...Jax has to grapple with the fact that he's conscious again. Not only that, but every horrible thing he's done is getting a second chance to eat at him.
All that's left for him is a group of people who care for him, and a lot of apologies that need to be made.

Kai groaned, where in the world was he? These woods didn’t seem to match anywhere in ninjago he had seen before, and he couldn’t get his phone or communicator to work. Given the communicators had a limited range, and there was only so much service you could get in the forest, but, well, the rest of the ninja were like a family to him, and Kai had found comfort in simply being able to talk to his friends, his family, whenever he could.

Cole had run away from two foster homes and a group home at this point, as well as having a history of self harming and an attempt, so it was understandable that he would be sent to a high risk group home. Though, the people he talked to hadn’t called it a group home. They called it a ‘monastery.’

Turning into a dragon looks cool on paper. But no one ever talks about the side effects.
While Lloyd struggles with new senses, Jay recovers his memories, Kai has to confront his trauma from the Lands of Monster, Nya turns into a sneaky little menace and Zane worries about everyone. Cole compiles all of it over the weeks.
Why are Kai and Nya hissing at each other like feral cats? Why is Jay slow-blinking at him and why is Zane growling at him? And wait— is Lloyd purring??
In the end, they’re not really cats.
They are legendary ninjas who have saved Ninjago and the merged realms more times than anyone can count. They can totally handle this.
Spoiler: They really can’t.

Or maybe I’ve been a little too inspired by the latest Ninjago season and this idea rotted in a messy corner of my brain and spread like a weed :’)
For Cole fans, don’t worry! There will be plenty of angst for our favourite master of earth too!
