This is a bit much, even for him. He hasn’t felt so constantly turned on since he was a teenager in the throes of puberty.
Maybe he’s just been pent up? He’d been spending every night for the past few weeks sharing one medium bed with Moonshine. And he misses her already, sleeping alone in his stump for just a few days; he only backed off to remind Moonshine (and himself) that he could be cool and casual, that things between them could be totally chill, that Hardwon’s feelings were no big deal and he didn’t have to be all over her 24/7. But, sharing a bed with Moonshine meant no privacy.
Yeah, that must be it. He’ll jerk off this one last time, sleep it off, and tomorrow his libido will be back to normal.

Maybe Moonshine just needs to stop pushing it. Draw the boundary for the both of them. It doesn’t matter how deeply Moonshine cares about him—that he’s the first person to make her feel seen, feel important—that she wants to spend the rest of her life with him, every second and millennium of it.
She’s still never going to be able to love him in the right way. In the way that he would want. So maybe the safe thing to do is to roll back over, fall back into trance, and wake up the next morning like nothing ever happened.
Yeah. The safe option.
Moonshine is fucking tired of playing it safe.
