Summary
“What matters is I want to help,” Mike said.
“Help?” Will croaked.
“Yeah, like how I’ve been helping you with your arms being broken and stuff. I can, you know, take care of it for you,” Mike said.
“Take care of what for me?” Will asked. Mike looked at him like he wasn’t paying attention, but Will had been hanging off of every word. He just didn’t understand what Mike was trying to say.
“I can— with your— ugh, Will, don’t make me say it,” Mike groaned.
Will couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Was Mike seriously suggesting that he jerk Will off, or was Will trapped in some sort of twisted nightmare porno?———————

Summary
Mike Wheeler was a lot of things: stubborn to a fault and to his parents' dismay, clumsy as hell—curse his lanky body with its long limbs and bony, sharp edges—and socially awkward in ways that made "understatement" feel generous. Sometimes his brain was just so jumbled, his thoughts moving faster than his mouth could keep up, which led to him ranting and raving about whatever latest topic had piqued his interest, long past the point of anyone in the Party truly listening.
But he was also endlessly inquisitive. He always had been, ever since he was a child tugging on his mother's blouse with tiny hands sticky from maple syrup, asking questions about his parents' already crumbling marriage—questions he was far too young to understand at the time.
And he was fiercely loyal. He had sworn his oath to the Party long ago: to serve, to protect, to lead, to be The Heart, no matter what. Just as a good Paladin should.
But most of all? He was an idiot. A frankly oblivious, dense, dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks IDIOT. Because for all his book-smarts and nerdiness and his constant curiosity, his hunger for knowledge, he may as well have had the emotional self-insight of a stale, moldy piece of bread.

Summary
"Are you guys dating?" Dustin blurts out. Mike and Will's heads snap to him, shared panicked expressions on their faces.
"Um, I—we, uh—"
"Why—why do you think that?" Will chokes out.
"Well, let's look at the evidence," Lucas holds up his hand and points to a finger when he says each Thing. "You kiss each other all the time, Will's been sitting on your lap every single time we hang out—"
"Wh—I—It's not every time." Mike argues weakly.
"We heard you call Will 'baby'," Will squeaks and avoids eye contact when Mike looks over at him. "And now you guys are going to sleep together. In the same bed. And you say it's normal."
"You gotta see it from our perspective, dude." Dustin adds once Lucas puts his hand down. Mike opens and closes his mouth a few times, looking like a fucking fish out of water. He kinda feels like one, too. Beside him, Will isn't much better. His face is fully red now, and he's just standing there, mouth open, like he'd just been busted for a crime.

Summary
“So,” Will prompts, when Mike still doesn’t offer up any information on the mysterious stack of papers tucked under his arm. “Are you having a party?”
“Oh, no,” Mike says, sounding like it might be the first time ever in his life that he is genuinely disappointed about this fact. He shifts and grabs the stack of flyers, sort of waving them through the air. “These are just for this game I play?” The inflection on the end of what should be a statement makes it sound more like a hesitant question.
“And in this one, you act like you’re… vampires?”
Or: To get out of the sexual rut he’s stuck in, Popular! Will gets dared to ask out Nerd!Mike and ends up attending a Vampire the Masquerade LARP where they proceed to put the ‘role-play’ into ‘live action role-play.’
