    When Todoroki Shouto gets a soulmark on his eighteenth birthday that he shares with Midoriya Izuku and Bakugou Katsuki, he keeps it hidden and pretends he doesn’t have one, not wanting to jeopardize the soulbond Izuku and Katsuki have already established a few months before.
    Only a few weeks before their graduation, Shouto finds out about their plans of going to the US after graduating and is once again reaffirmed in his choice not to tell them about their shared mark.
    Two years later, his mark is exposed to the world during a villain attack and Shouto’s carefully constructed facade begins to crumble.
