Summary
He would make a better world. They had no one else but each other even if his creator was prone to slipping away to the mortal realm. He would create a world so beautiful that his lord would never want to run off to the humans. He would be together as they were meant to be. Come what may. That was his purpose. A dream come true.
Moments from this idea I have in my head about what it would be like if the roles were reversed, but maybe not how you'd think. What if this is all just a prequel to the story that we already know?

Dreams never came easy to Grace since being sent to space. But tonight he dreams of a tree covered in blood and a voice he can't find the source of.
Simon knows he died. He knows because there's an angel in front of him one that calls himself 'Grace'. Simon just can't figure out why he went to heaven. And why he can't touch the angel.

A gentle hand cups my face. He has no anger, no disgust in his gaze. Only a deep, burning desire. He wiped the tears from my cheeks, tender and sweet. His hand moved down to my thigh as he sank down to his knees.
“Simon?”
“My angel,” he sighed, nothing less than devotion in his voice. His hand slid up my thigh before gently taking hold of my shaft.
