Summary
Morose weather is not something unusual, especially so when one is on a merchant ship. Turbulence happens, and it happens often; and likely, it was but a small hiccup.
Dazai dislikes small hiccups, and would rather it be something that actually drags her under. The ship does not do that—but the pirate that invades it just might.

A group of strange people are there for him to lean on; they’re nice, they feed and water and clothe him, teach him things he long since deemed useless in the Abyss.
It is nice. And slow. And monotonous, and makes the itching under his skin burn ever brighter.

He watches Chuuya fall asleep, slow and soft, in small bits. He is so beautiful, and he is mine. All mine.
I am the first person he smiled at.
I am the first person who said his name.
I am the first person who has held him like this.
He is mine. He will always be mine now, after these things.
Dazai thinks, for a moment, that he might not ever get to feel things, or see the world the way most people do, or find a reason to live. But he can live for this, for him. For this boy. He does not care about birds or parks or trees or people, does not feel all that much when he sees the sunrise or sunset or the stars and the moon. He does not like dogs or children. He does not like the world.
But he likes Chuuya. He likes the way Chuuya looks when he is looking at all these things.

“Sure, going undercover at a dumb, prestigious hero school is awful. And it’s even worse considering neither he nor his partner have any experience in the realm of proper education; kind of hard to ‘blend in’ with real students if they don’t know what they’re doing. Never mind the fact that this is a hero school and they are, you know, not exactly heroes.
But for some reason, that alone wasn’t difficult enough for Dazai.
Which leads to Chuuya’s current predicament: he’s standing at Dazai’s side in front of a bunch of starry-eyed kids and Dazai just introduced himself as Nakahara Chuuya.”Dazai and Chuuya are hired as bodyguards for UA’s number one problem class :) Obviously, Dazai decides to make this mission as difficult (as annoying for Chuuya) as possible by whatever means necessary.

Boring.
That’s what Dazai’s life has been, for the past nine years. Less? More? Who knows, really.
Either way, boring! That's what it's been! Hence, Dazai is breaking into the Port Mafia for fun and profit- the profit, of course, being stored entirely in the frustration this stunt will doubtlessly cause one Nakahara Chuuya.
Coming to think of it, Dazai should've expected it to go wrong.
