They were one, once, made from the same flesh and blood and with a heart beating in unison, unable to exist without each other, a joined central nervous system.
And then they were separated, Ryoji bursting free with an umbilical cord as a noose, here to deliver the end to the world; and still they found one another once again, like two planets in pull, like the final piece of a jigsaw made full.
Here they are, again. Third time lucky. Fated to find each other, to overlap, fated to exist in union; or so it seems.
