Summary
The thing about adopting a new pet into the family is that you can't just throw it into the deep end of things.
The old dog could get jealous of the new kitty, or the kitty might feel intimidated by the bigger animal, so their owner has to prove themselves an apt master.
It might be a lot to handle, but Harry knows he can be a good master, and he really wants to bring that kitty home.
Draco Malfoy is practically begging to be owned.
