Summary
One thing leads to another, and Zoro finds himself settling down there in the warm of the sun, leaning his back into the sandbags and rationalizing that the others will wake him if he’s needed.
He doesn’t mean to fall asleep in earnest. He just underestimated how fucking tired he was, and what should have been a light nap to pass the time ultimately becomes a whole affair, all because of some nosy fucking Marines.

“Do you give up yet?” Baku sneered menacingly, blood dripping down from the deep cut on his forehead Zoro had managed to give him, “Even if you defeat me, you’ll die soon anyway, so it doesn’t matter.”
Zoro pointed Wado Ichimonji at him with shaky hands. It took most of his energy just to stand. Spots started dancing in his vision. He felt himself slipping away, the heat in his body almost unbearable. He needed to beat Baku now, before the time ran out.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After leaving Cocoyasi village, the Strawhats run into a sea storm that damages their ship and are forced to make repairs at a nearby island. However, when they get there, they discover that the islanders are being controlled by the mysterious Crime Lord Baku, bent on using a resource from the island to launch his plans of world domination. Zoro still feels guilty after losing to Mihawk, and so is determined to beat Baku himself. However, that proves to be much more difficult than Zoro had first thought.
