Summary
Zachary has not crumbled to dust. The void of space does not spread out before him. There is an empty room behind a door he never should have created, and he has all the time in the world to try and find something substantive to put inside and lock away.
There is a voice coming from the kitchen. Low and raspy, and singing a song Zachary vaguely remembers. Lyrics from a Sunday morning, from a time before they had to run and leave this house behind.
Max haunts his eyes, then. Dorian haunts his ears. And, Zachary suspects, many other parts of him he will have to discover in time.

The next night, though – when he finally collapses, exhausted, into his bunk – he sleeps. He almost immediately wishes he hadn’t.
(It turns out, downloading a person into your brain has Consequences, Actually. Who'd have thought. Gurathin finds this out the hard way.)

Then the group calls a meeting about the subject of Visser One, and discuss the possibility of killing her, and Marco needs to keep even more secrets. He can't let them know who they're really talking about here. He can't let anybody know.
