Time slips away as they move in sync, the music threading through every motion. Sweat beads on their skin, their breath coming in short, mingled gasps in the thick, humid air of the dancefloor. They stay like that—pressing close, drifting apart, trading slow touches and quiet, unspoken laughter—for what could be minutes or hours. Jayce doesn’t know. He doesn’t care. The music just keeps going, and so do they.
Jayce has never set foot in a goth bar before, but when their friends suggest a night out, they end up at one of Viktor’s favorite old haunts.
Viktor slips back into the scene like he never left—all black eyeliner, fishnets, and effortless grace. The air hums with bass, sweat, and laughter as they lose themselves on the dance floor. For Viktor, it’s a night of nostalgia; for Jayce, it’s something entirely new—dark, glittering, and thrilling in ways they didn’t expect.
When the music slows and the lights dip low, the space between them turns electric, pulsing with the same rhythm that shakes the floor. What starts as a night out becomes something deeper—and by the end of it, their dance doesn’t stop when the music does. -

A light moan comes through the small speakers next to his ear, sending goosebumps along Jayce’s skin.
“Oh? Like what, Viktor?”
Jayce is breathless, his hand slowly starting to slide down his stomach.
“Mmm… I don’t know. Maybe something warm, and wet. And tight.”
“Fuck, Viktor. Are you touching yourself right now?”
When Jayce goes back to his hotel room after a stressful day at the remote office, he concludes his week-long business trip with a phone call to Viktor.

God knows it’s the longest, most quiet minute Jayce has ever experienced. Eventually, Viktor clears his throat. “Were you…Were you serious? About me joining you for Christmas?”
It's so quiet that Jayce almost misses it.
At some point, he also reminds himself to inhale. “Of course!” he breathes. “Viktor, I, I don’t want you to be here by yourself.”
A faint frown tightens Viktor’s brow again, deeper than the last, but it’s gone as soon as it appears. He sighs and nods, almost to himself. “Thank you, I…I will take you up on that offer. If that’s okay, of course, with your family.”

College!AU - Jayce realises that Viktor will be spending the Christmas alone at the university. He invites him to spend it with the Talis family, instead. Apparently, the word "partner" can have all kinds of meanings.

Sharp-eyed, sharp-tongued, cigarette in hand. Unbothered by the heat, unimpressed by Jayce, unreadable in a way that makes Jayce want to study him a little too long.
