Summary
Sonic the Hedgehog's life was far from boring, that's for sure. Unfortunately, he was suffering through one of those slow days between grand adventures. Tails seemed to be interested in something though: this strange signal he received from some abandoned facility barely connected to the EggNet. It wasn't an emerald, no, but something else messing with the ambient energy inside.
Huh. Well, that doesn't just happen outta nowhere.
To kill their boredom, Sonic and Tails decided to go and investigate the signal, expecting to find an abandoned project of sorts within that old base.
Well...they weren't wrong about what it was, but they weren't expecting it to be an actual living being hiding in the building's ventilation shafts where it wasn't supposed to be at all.
Nor was Sonic expecting to become an unwilling host to something that genuinely made him feel uneasy.
...Would it bad idea to ask how things could possibly get worse from here?

After an Eggman scheme gone wrong, Sonic and his friends were abruptly Chaos Controlled into a new world where humans had superpowers called Quirks! That's cool and all, but the Chaos Emeralds and everyone else was missing! And he can't run anywhere without people in outfits on his tail.
And since when did you need a licence to save people?! That's crazy talk! Next they're gonna tell him he needs to go to a "Hero School" to get one!
…Wait, he does?
Chaos, just drown him now.
Even more annoying, nobody really seems to believe him when he tries to tell people he's a hedgehog from another dimension. Something about his new appearance really isn't helping his case…

"And for my first decree as King..."
The Knights of the Round Table stood patiently around the King's throne, awaiting his first royal order. What would it be? What would their new ruler ask of them first? Whatever was requested of them, they would gladly accept with no hesitation nor question.
"...You knights need to chill out."
Alright, perhaps there were several questions.
All three of the knights looked up at their king with the similar amounts of bewilderment, none of them speaking out of fear of coming across as disrespectful.
'Chill out?'
Sonic sighed under his breath, his crown sliding down a little. "You've gotta be kidding me..."
The best of knights Camelot had to offer were stood before him. They were loyal, honourable, and prepared for just about anything he could reasonably ask them to do...except for laying down their swords and letting themselves live a little apparently.
OR: The Knights of the Round Table don't actually know how to relax like normal like normal people anymore because they've had their guards up for so long and it's up to their new king to make them take a break for the day.

Summary
Sonic runs too fast in one of his runs again and with too much energy for a jog (in his words), he got transported to the past. Upon exploring around, he finds himself in the care of a weird looking teenager. He looks awfully familiar, but he seems kind and helpful enough so it's a win for him. Talking with this guy makes him realized, especially after seeing a lot of familiar looking blueprints. This guy is a passionate inventor and... And... Eggman?! This is him?!
Wait, what if he tries to change him? He's a good inventor, just a little mess up. Maybe this is his chance to fix him and have more peace than disaster in the future. Great! Then he won't miss it for the world!

Summary
Sonic defeated The End. They watched him pierce through the husk of Supreme and the threat in the sky, all in a second, colored cyan and shooting into the night like a star. First came joy. They waited for him to return to them, Emeralds in hand. Then came worry.
He never came down.
Across dimensions, the Ancients were victorious. The Pilots vanquished The End, and got to return to their home, alive, after fighting the greatest battle their people had ever witnessed. That, however, is all cut short when a boy comes falling from the sky, wrenching the Emeralds from their systems and sending the Islands into chaos. The Emeralds answer to him like they have never answered their machines. He speaks of having defeated The End.
A child from another dimension.
Sonic is stuck here. They promised him a way to return home if he can simply wait for them to build it. And in the meantime, they show him what life was like for the civilization that has long since passed. It seems like nothing more than a peaceful hiccup before he can get back to his friends.
But something is lurking in the shadows. Something sinister. Maybe this won't be a simple pit stop.
