Suddenly, she tenses. Her head flies up, her bright eyes meeting his. They hold that mischievous twinkle that tells him she has an idea. "Or is it?" she asks. "You may have just proposed the solution."
"I'm sorry?"
"By asking me to be your date to the ball. If we go together and tell my grandfather we're dating, and then ‘break up’ a while later, he won't be able to harass either of us about marrying each other anymore." She smiles wickedly, just like the same child that used to regularly sneak behind her father's back. "How about it, sir?"

Summary
Rain drops from the tip of his nose and he smiles when she lowers her gun. She doesn’t let him in just yet though. She keeps the door partially closed, her fingers on the grip of her gun loosen and she blows out a soft sigh before reaching up and pushing her bangs away from her forehead, she doesn’t know why he’s here or what he wants, she just simply steps aside because even without words he's commanding. It's a trait that thrills her, accelerates her heart, and makes her blood run hot.

It is silly, but Riza’s heart leaps at the sight of him. He looks pleased to see her, too. “Reginald?” She raises an eyebrow. “Really, Colonel. Could you have picked a stuffier alias?”

When earlier that day, he almost died, when earlier he thought he'd never see her again. Now here she was, real and alive, and all for him to cherish and love. He wants to make her first time special, but how special could it really be, with him smelling like burning corpses, a bleeding wound in his shoulder and shaky, anxious hands. And yet… she's so gorgeous, so wonderful, he can't care less where they are, how he looks. Her naked form, sprawled out on the cot, with glimmers of dust blown in from outside, is all he's ever dreamed of…
