Those words were almost like a whisper against all the overwhelming thoughts, hammering migraines and heartbeats in Raida’s head.
She wanted to scream. Cry. Beg. Explain. Anything. Yet there was none of it. All that was here was the unmistakable and impending feeling of doom and irreversible failure against the new person Raida had wanted to be. She was back where she had started.-
Leaving one prison, Raida had every intention of avoiding and never repeating the sins of her past. To be the person or leviathan she knew she really was inside. Having finally found a friend, Yvonne, who seemed to love her for every part of her and forgive any mistakes she worried she had made, it was already more than perfect in her eyes.
Too bad she had to ruin it and get sent to prison a second time, though this time it was the Fortress of Meropide. And even then her past seemed to try and repeat itself against all her efforts. Exept this time she isn't completely alone.

Xie Lian hadn’t given up. “It’s alright, though! We’ll just have to find something else for you to be worshipped for!”
Mu Qing looked at Xie Lian quizzically. “Something else?”
“Just like how Feng Xin became the God of Pleasure by a misunderstanding, you could also find a secondary domain of worship! Something that ghosts need or want...”
“Like what?”
Xie Lian cleared his throat lightly before he suggested, “How about becoming a God of Style?”
After losing one too many spars, Mu Qing finds out that—due to new worshippers of Ju Yang in Ghost City—Feng Xin's divine power had become ever-so-slightly stronger than Mu Qing's. Mu Qing's solution? Build a following in Ghost City, too: bigger and better than Feng Xin's. The issue? Ghosts don't care for martial arts or war at all! Mu Qing would have to find something else to be worshipped for.
Thus begins Mu Qing's life as Xuan Zhen: the God of Beauty.
Feng Xin thinks he might die.

The main OC behaves like a na'vi- mean straightforward comments and everything I love. And I like that she isn't portrayed in a sexual or tiny way like I have read before. They both feel right and natural in this setting. A very enjoyable read so far <3
