John saves Adam from the bathroom trap, makes him take stalker photos for him for a year, then spits him back out into society.
He's now expected to make a life for himself when he's legally dead to the world and unable to get anything in his own name, except maybe Lawrence Gordon's tongue. Even then, he's fucking Scott Tibbs and less-than enthusiastic to ponder the prospect of crashing at his, Lawrence's, or his parents' place.
To complicate things, it turns out his time with Jigsaw's inner circle isn't quite over and he has an unconventional part to play in the next game.
Or, Adam can't catch a break.

“I won’t kill, I won’t murder anyone,” Adam said, this time breathier. Lawrence nodded, just barely. He was kissing Adam’s neck and ear now, feeling the skin warm under his lips. He let one of his hands land on Adam’s hip. He paused for a second, wanting to let Adam pull away, push him away. Adam said nothing, his breath coming in little huffs, and pushed his hips forward a bit, into the light touch, and Lawrence let his fingers slip under the flannel and tee, rubbing the warm taut skin across Adam’s hip bone. Lawrence thought of the muscle and sinew under the surface of that skin, of the blood vessels and nerve endings wrapped around bone, and let out a heavy breath of desire.
“I know, Adam,” Lawrence murmured. “But what about me?”
“What?” Adam said, his voice pitchy.
