He lifted his head, the high lingering a touch, and realized his face was wet. Had he been crying? No, that wasn’t his style. He wasn’t the emotional type, especially when high as a kite, whatever that meant. At the same time, this didn’t feel like blood on his face. He knew how that felt. It was thicker, warmer, and it sure as shit didn’t make lines from his eyes to his jaw.
