It had been a couple of weeks since Peter Parker first came to the shop MJ worked at.
He had quickly become one of the better-known regulars, quiet and keeping to himself, yet MJ noticed the not-too-subtle way he stared at her or Ned, the sad look in his eyes mixed with longing.
And though MJ should have been, rightly, creeped out, she wasn't. There was something about Peter Parker she couldn't quite put her finger on. Aside from him being genuinely nice, give or take that sadness, there was something about him that made MJ's heart ache and want to know him better than more as a regular customer with a simple order of a coffee.
Because, for some reason, his eyes looked like she was coming home.
