She was not womanly in any sense of the word; no real bosom to find comfort in, and there was no softness in her gaze or in her arms, and there was so much disdain in her heart that you could drown in it like a neurotoxin. She was also very sick, given that extremely minor and inconsequential thing I’d mentioned before—Oripathy.

After all, they are exorcists. They will always taste of blood and war, and in every life they find each other that they might carve their names into one another's heart.

It was supposed to be temporary. But somewhere along the way, the water changes. A place where mers are safe. Where younglings are raised in the open. Where humans don't hunt. A place where no one is kept unless they choose to stay.
Katsuki doesn't trust it, doesn't trust the humans. He definitely doesn't trust the way his body reacts: to the water, to the others...to Kirishima. Because if it is just instinct, he can leave.

There was a large blockage in the ventilation system that Friday had not told him about for some reason until he had asked about why it was stuffier in certain rooms in the tower – not enough for most people to notice, but he was Tony Stark of course he did.
Those couldn’t be connected, right?
