This is my re-worked and edited version of my original work "One more Connection".
- Russell Adler is trying to fight the demon of his past, Perseus.
His hunt leads him to Berlin where he meets his old friend, now lover(?), *You*.
Over the course of the the past weeks unresolved feelings for you, ones he buried deep within some time ago, resurface and suddenly Adler has to fight another demon; himself and his feelings.
You bring out a softer yet still stoic side within him, one he's not sure he likes or hates.
He knows you're young, too young for him anyway, but maybe he just doesn't care? He will leave once the hunt for Perseus is over... right? Why bother...
That's something he can worry about outside of his spy work.(I altered the plot of the game a little to fit my narrative, but nothing major! I will squeeze in a few sex scenes, perhaps fluff and angst, I will see where my writing flow will take me.
- This story sets place a bit before Bell and Adler along with Lazar and Park sneak into East Berlin to sabotage the briefcase in Kraus' possession to find and track Volkov. The events are leading up to the mission "Brick in the Wall" and will take place as in the game.) -

Summary
Bell- former KGB soldier and Perseus loyalist- believes that they’ve just barely avoided hitting rock bottom after the fallout of Solovetsky. Taking on jobs as a mercenary to make ends meet while hiding away from anyone who may be less than happy that they’re still alive.
Bell can’t go back to Perseus, the man they betrayed, and the U.S government decided that they were enough of a problem to have Adler attempt to kill them before they even made it off the battlefield.
One night after pulling themself home after a job, visitors come knocking to drag them away from any sense of precious normalcy they have. Whether they’ll keep Bell there or push them back to the bottom to see the mess they’ll make, Bell isn’t sure.
They don’t think they want to know, but maybe it’s a good opportunity to fuck over everyone else before they hit the ground again.
