Xisuma isn't even two months into his final year at the academy yet, and he's already half convinced he's going to crack under the strain. Between his position as head boy, his uneasy role as his unruly twin brother's keeper, and the mounting pressure to decide who he wants to be in the future, the idea of another problem makes him want to scream.
Then, the day after Halloween, a much more pressing issue emerges.
One of the sixth formers has clearly been replaced by someone else, and at first nobody acknowledges it - except for Ex. Then the Smajor twins return, and they notice immediately (really, it's blindingly obvious), and before Xisuma knows it he's trying to keep Scott from getting himself expelled as he investigates the mystery... and also hoping nobody looks at him too closely.
He knows that somewhere along the way he's probably going to find the straw that breaks his back.

Summary
Grian had been running for what felt like hours, gliding through the deep void in an attempt to escape the Watchers.
After finally finding a server to hide in he quickly realises that it was, in fact, not abandoned as he had assumed.When Xisuma went to check the new Hermitcraft Server he saw an intruder hack into it - quite literally.
Though it quickly turns out that the intruder was more a fugitive, running away from the very monsters the admin hated with his entire being.Walking a thin line between truth and lie Grian tries his best to cling to the new safe haven to heal up and hide from his captors, making more connections than he had preferred.
Sadly the Watchers had their own plans with their little disobedient experiment. -

Instead of sending Ex to the Void, the Hermits push him into the End- which, already raided, egg taken, and dragon slayed, is empty until they revive the dragon, believing that death would be kinder than being banished in the Void. They're a glitch, so they only have one life. Reviving the dragon, they teleport themselves out. However, a dragon's main instinct is to protect their young- so, when the dragon doesn't find an egg, it makes a bond with the closest living thing other than the enderman: Ex. Cue Ex finally getting a break and love for once in their life, dragon rides, and befuddled Hermits wondering how Ex managed to befriend a dragon and why it was treating him like an unruly child (bonus if the Hermits, after a while without a death message, open the portal again to check what's happening, and barely see Ex upon the dragon before they both vanish into the Overworld).

Dad said there were people here too, scattered around in reinforced areas, hiding and banking on the slim chance of rescue. Ex had never seen a survivor before, and he doubted they ever would. Any time there were reportedly survivors stuck somewhere, they were gone before the ship arrived. Humanity would be wiped out soon, and there was no stopping it. They really didn’t know why they tried. It would be easier to abandon this place, and jump over to another world that was… less apocalyptic, but their father forbade it. And for now, there was no reason to fight against that. For now it was easier to do as they were told. Well — for the most part. With a little luck, it’d be better to follow instructions today.
